My name is Jonathan Moeller, and if you’re looking for something to read, I’d like to invite you to read my new fantasy novel from Gale/Five Star, “Demonsouledâ€. (ISBN 1594142785, released May 13). As of today, it is officially the #1 Early Adopter Product in Science Fiction and Fantasy on Amazon.com:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1594142785/qid=1116011498/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl14/002-3844651-6184043?v=glance&s=books&n=507846 It has LOTS of swordfights, always a mark of high literary distinction, in my opinion. “Demonsouled†is a sword-and-sorcery novel. Readers who enjoy Robert E. Howard, David Gemmell, R.A. Salvatore, and H.P. Lovecraft should like “Demonsouled.†It’s about a landless knight named Mazael Cravenlock. Mazael returns home after fifteen years to find his hated older brother and beloved younger sister plotting rebellion at the encouragement of their advisors, a haughty knight and a mocking sorcerer. As Mazael tries to stop the rebellion, he realizes he is one of the Demonsouled, descended from the blood of the ancient Great Demon, and must fight the corruption overwhelming his mind and spirit. If this sounds interesting, check out the “Demonsouled†excerpt on my website: http://www.jonathanmoeller.com/DemonsouledExcerpt.htm Or “Inheritance†or “Two Wagersâ€, two short stories set in the world of “Demonsouledâ€: http://www.jonathanmoeller.com/TwoWagers.htm http://www.jonathanmoeller.com/Inheritance.htm And, if you read the book and absolutely hate it, you can send me e-mail at jmcontact@jonathanmoeller.com to express your displeasure, and I promise to reply with a polite but vaguely worded e-mail. (If you read the book and like it, feel free to e-mail as well, of course). -Jonathan Moeller http://www.jonathanmoeller.com jmcontact@jonathanmoeller.com |

H'lo, congrats on being published. We do like it when authors come by, though we request you keep the sales pitch to just the one thread. Please feel free to chat about other things around the board.

Gale's publishing fiction now? Or is this a different Gale?

Thanks, all. I was never sure if doing the sales pitch would egregiously offend someone. Of course, if you're writing anything, you're going to egregiously offend someone sooner or later, so no worries.
Dunno which Gale you mean; this is the one I'm published with: http://www.gale.com/servlet/BrowseSeriesServlet?region=9&imprint=305&titleCode=TP916&edition= -JM |

I'll be damned. I had no idea they did fiction. Huh.

Hi all,
Thought I'd mention that I have two short stories that you can read, for free, in a couple of e-zines. (And, if you're reading this at work, as I suspect most of you are, the short stories will make a pleasant alternative to more tedious activities, such as actually working.) The first is "The Book of the Strongest", which you can read in the August 2005 issue of Deep Magic: http://www.deep-magic.net/issues.php?issue=39 (That issue also has an interview and an article from Douglas Niles). The second is "Psychopomp", which features a disturbed teenage girl and disgruntled dead people. What more, indeed, does any work of fiction need? http://www.scorchedearthpublishi...sycho.html -JM http://www.jonathanmoeller.com |
