Posted Hide Post I was just browsing through a bookstore and I happened upon BLACK HOUSE, and it interestingly had KING and then the title and then STRAUB across the spine, and it really caught my attention. I hadn't heard of Straub but I certainly know Stephen, and I'm thinking of getting it just because of his name being on the cover, as with most of his books. And yeah, no, I've never read THE TALISMAN. Do I have to read that one to get a better experience with this one?

Posted Hide Post No, I was just curious. I remember The Talisman better because it took me so long to read it, it was very slow going. I think Black House moves along much faster and would definitely be okay on its own. In the past few days, we've been getting a *huge* amount of Notifications that are bouncing back to the mod email. If you've noticed that you haven't been receiving your normal notifications (ie, new posts, private messages, etc), please make sure that gaiman.board.mods@gmail.com is in your email's safe list. The majority of the bounce-backs seem to be coming from hotmail addresses, so if you've got a hotmail email, please make sure we're in your address book, even if you don't have notifications set up.
