was reading the samples of that on the dark horse site the other day, liked the look of it, likely pick it up sometime soon. i believe its him that did "mpd psycho", which i read as scanslation, and is just really nasty/brutal stuff. suprised to see that dark horse have picked that up, with book 1 either just out or just about to come out.

i came across him just as channel zero #2 had been published and picked up those 2 first issues since. i love channel zero/jennie one. enjoying DMZ a lot as well.

the couriers i thought was ok, dirtbike i didn't like at all, the third one i never even picked up. the series he did for IDW -supermarket - was probably in that kind of territory, but i enjoyed it a lot more, two families go to war - one the japanese yakuza the other the swedish porn industry.

he has a few other pieces out/in the works. demo, local, the tourist. when he is good he is great, when he isn't he loses me.

as for at the moment.
icaro book 1 by moebius and jiro taniguchi, that japanese akira-like brand of "cyberpunk". test tube people that explode, a floating baby turned into experimental test subject, all the obvious stuff really Wink

the dead west by rick spears and rob g (rob having done the art for the couriers), a zombie western, the survivor of an indian village combes back to take revenge on the town that was built on his people's land.

maggie the mechanic by jamie hernandez, the first in a new series of editions of the love and rockets comics, i've read bits and pieces over the years, but not nearly enough.

If it's just about limited editions, then Xombie by James Farr, published by DDP. A very innovative interpretation of the zombie mythos.

Scheduled for just six issues though the limited comic series is part of a larger story that includes flash cartoons and an illustrated novel.

Skrull Kill Krew was a fun read I just picked up. I forgot how much I liked Grant Morrison's writing and I've been thinking about hamburgers and milk in a different way.

Also just bought and read Eternals Hardbound. That Gaiman guy, who told him he could write comics? Wink

I'm really liking the current Amazing Spider-man arc.

Silver Surfer: Requiem #1 is good too. Short on story but high on emotion.
