Does anyone know any other books that Dan Brown wrote besides Angels&Demons and The Da Vinci Code?

He also wrote Digital Fortress, but I haven't read it so can't say if it's good or not.

Digital Fortress wasn't my idea of a great read...but then it was more technology than history, and I only read Brown for the art historical references.

He also wrote Deception Point, which wasn't bad as I recall

Digital Fortress is like Da Vinci Code, but even more lame and 100% more predictable.

Is Deception Point any good?

I will agree with St B in that I think Digital Fortress was a lame read...

I agree with you about the Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons. I didn't like the Digital Fortress all that much.

Not sure she can really play it. Audrey Tautou is lovely, but I'm not sure that she can pull off the role. I hope she doee!

There was filming all over Paris for this movie. One of our friends was kept up by the filming in her street, and one day while taking a patient for a home visit, we kept running into the film crews and it took us an hour to finally get there.

I actaully just finished the book a month ago. Nice read, although who was he fooling with those extremely easy clues and codes. That was my biggest disappointment, felt like I was reading Simple Codes for Secret Clubs. Other than that, his writing style really pulled me in.

I never read the Da Vinci Code but I have been reading Angels and Demons and have been enjoying it so far.

I'm with those who say Dan Brown is braincandy. His books are the equivalent of the adrenaline-filled action thriller movie that you KNOW is completely inaccurate and over the top, and it's certainly never going to win any academy awards, but it's still fun to watch. (Think "The Day After Tomorrow" for a good example of what I mean.)

With that in mind, I absolutely loved Deception Point, and rather enjoyed Angels & Demons. Do I think Dan Brown is a hack? Absolutely. But, as hacks go, he's definitely entertaining. Great stuff for when you don't want to have to think too hard.

Ever feel like Dan Brown carries a set of cards with him labeled hair colors, special talents, art museums, and secret societies, and ,whenever he wants to write a book, he picks one of each.

Doesn't he have a new book out?

Dan Brown's book has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide

A claim that Dan Brown's bestselling novel The Da Vinci Code copied the ideas of two other authors has gone before London's High Court.

Michael Baigent and Richard Leigh say Mr Brown stole "the whole architecture" of research that went into their 1982 book The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail.

Both books contain the idea Jesus had a child. They are suing publisher Random House, which denies the allegation.

Mr Brown attended the court on Monday as a judge heard initial submissions.

'Intellectual theft'

The Da Vinci Code won best book at this year's British Book Awards and more than 30 million copies have been sold in about 40 languages.

It has been adapted into a $100m (£57m) movie starring Tom Hanks, Audrey Tautou and Sir Ian McKellen, which is due to open this year's Cannes film festival.

Mr Baigent and Mr Leigh's non-fiction best-seller The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail (HBHG) was also published by Random House.

It dealt with theories that Jesus and Mary Magdalene married and that their blood line continued to the present day.

Their lawyer Jonathan James told the court: "Dan Brown copied from The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail and therefore the publication of the result by the defendant is in infringement of the copyright of my client in the United Kingdom."

Mr Baigent and Mr Leigh wrote their book with a third author, Henry Lincoln, who is not taking part in the claim due to ill-health.

Mr James added: "The authors' historical conjecture has spawned many other books that developed aspects of this conjecture in a variety of directions.

"But none has lifted the central theme of the book."

Gail Rebuck, chief executive of Random House, issued a statement about the case saying her company had published both books.

"We are genuinely saddened that two of the three authors of HBHG have chosen to bring litigation against us.

"Random House takes no pleasure in defending legal action that it believes is without merit and we are confident that we shall prevail."

Conan Chitman, a copyright specialist for Mishcon de Reya solicitors, said the case could have wide-ranging implications.

"This case, if it goes in favour of The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail, could open a floodgate of litigation for people who have had their ideas, as they see it, stolen by more successful people," he said.

Never read the Da Vinci Code, never will, never sparked my interest.

Of course it copied Holy Blood, Holy Grail. Never mind that said book was based on crap research and referred extensively to a known hoax as fact.

Can't believe i'm about to defend Dan Brown, but unless he actually quoted verbatim, i don't think they've got much of a case.

It's good publicity for everyone, but it'll undoubtedly be settled out of court. a tiny slice of the da vinci pie goes to the HBHG team, and the baking goes on...

yeah, really. it's pretty ridiculous.

I guess they might have a better case if they would just admit that Holy Blood, Holy Grail is a work of fiction...
