hello bublensqueak

whilst i understand what you are doing, and your work and the comic does look interesting, you are very clearly breaking our spam rule.

quote:
No spam is allowed. This includes, but is not limited to:

*Newcomers asking for attention for their website/cause/book/etc. We expect posters to come to contribute not to use us.

i've removed the link you put in and truthfully, i'm busy considering the whole thing.

i'm going to err on the side of generosity for the moment and leave most of your post intact, but if i do get genuine complaints of spam from our regulars, or if one of the other mods feels more strongly than me I will back up their decision.

I prefer to live in a country that's small, and old, and where no one would ever have the NERVE to wear a cape in public, whether they could leap tall buildings in a single bound or not.

trolls are like pigeons..keep feeding them and they keep coming back and shitting in your street.

Sorry about that! I was thinking people might be interested in it, but you're right, it was very blatant promotion!

I can't seem to delete the post, only edit it. Do you think you could delete it for me?
I've been following Neil's journal for years, but I'm not so familiar with the notice boards and the etiquette. :-( Thanks and apologies again,
Sarah

i don't like deleting posts, we'll leave it there because i think you'll get a positive reaction for your personal admittance that it was a bit spammy and removal of your info.

i think you should pop over to our FAQ's, read the notices and then hang about the board awhile and make yourself at home Smile we're a very friendly bunch her and you'd be more than welcome.

Hello, bublnsqueak! Smaug is correct, I like that you acknowledged the self-promotion once it was brought to your attention.

Your avatar is adorable!

I'd say Welcome to the board! but it looks like you registered before me.

...

Oh, what the heck, Welcome to the board!!!

edit to add: Ooh, hey, you could add your site to your profile then snoopers like me could still find it.

Thanks, weeble! I just posted the link on my profile page. And thanks both of you for being so nice about it, I'm feeling very sheepish...
