number of books from the list read: 8, and most of those for school or university (sad, I know - but please consider that I've only ever heard of 33 of these books, as I'm German)
books on this list started to read but stopped: - 1984 (other things came up, but I plan to get back to it someday) - The Crying of Lot 49 and White Noise (was supposed to read both plus Passion of New Eve and Money for university course, but got bored and decided to read American Psycho instead - BAD mistake) - Gone with the Wind (BOOORING!) one book that should have been on this list: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy one book that should not be on this list: well, I'll have to go with the ones I know, so I guess The Crying of Lot 49 - postmodernist novels just aren't my cup of tea... Of the books you have read, pick a favorite: A tie between Animal Farm (makes me cry every time) and LOTR (hell yeah, I'm a geek!). |

nah, not lyrical enough. if i were doing bradbury i'd do Martian Chronicles or Dandelion Wine, though they're kinda connected short story collections so they might not count i was surprised that Watchmen was on the list... it was on the bit excerpted in the print magazine. kudos to them |
